2020 Bexar County Primary Election Things to Know

Texas is an open primary state where registered voters do not have to register with a party.

A voter selects a party when they vote.

A primary runoff occurs when a candidate doesn’t receive 50% plus 1 vote. If a runoff occurs, primary election voters must use the party’s runoff ballot based on the party chosen in the primary election. Voters who didn’t participate in the primary election can chose their party at the runoff.
